Brand Identity for Contractors is a standalone PM Consulting Inc. service that gives a home service business one consistent look and voice: a logo system, a colour system, typography, brand voice guidelines, and an organized asset kit. The result is a business that looks like the same professional company on the truck, the yard sign, the quote, the invoice, the Google profile, and the website. PM Consulting builds it in four stages (discovery, concepts, refinement, delivery) and prices it by custom quote per scope. Brand identity is sold separately and is not part of any 5-Pillar Program tier.
A homeowner decides whether a contractor looks trustworthy long before the first phone call. They see the truck in a neighbour's driveway, the sign on a lawn, the Google profile, and the website, often in that order. When those four things look like four different companies, the homeowner notices, even if they cannot say why. The work might be excellent. The first impression says otherwise.
The logo on the truck was made by a cousin. The business cards came from a print shop template. The website uses a third set of colours. Nobody planned it; it just piled up.
One look, everywhere the business shows up.
A homeowner comparing three quotes reads the paperwork as a signal of the work. A handwritten-looking quote from a business with a clip-art logo gets pushed on price.
Quotes that look like they came from a company worth paying.
The sign shop asks for a vector file. The embroiderer asks for a one-colour version. The web developer asks for a transparent background. The owner sends a screenshot of a Facebook post.
Every vendor gets the right file the first time.
A contractor finishes a great deck on a busy street. Three neighbours want one. None of them remember the company name, because nothing about the truck or the sign stuck.
A brand people recognize the second time they see it.
Brand identity does not answer the phone or follow up on a quote. Those jobs belong to the lead system, which is what the Zero Lead Loss System fixes. What brand identity does is make every lead that system catches more likely to trust the business before a word is spoken. It is the paint on a sound house, not the foundation.
PM Consulting Inc. delivers a contractor brand identity as five connected pieces. Each one is built for the places a trades business actually shows up: trucks, trailers, job site signs, uniforms, quotes, invoices, the Google Business Profile, social media, and the website. Nothing is designed only to look good on a screen in a meeting.
A primary logo plus alternate layouts for the places one shape will not fit: a wide version for a truck door, a stacked version for a hat or a yard sign, and a small icon mark for a profile photo. One-colour versions are included for vinyl decals, embroidery, and rubber stamps, where full colour is not an option.
A defined palette with the exact codes each vendor needs: screen colours for the website, print colours for cards and quotes, and the closest vinyl match for the sign shop. Usage rules say which colour leads, which supports, and which never goes on a dark truck.
A headline typeface and a body typeface, chosen to stay readable on a moving vehicle, a printed estimate, and a phone screen. The rules cover sizes and weights for quotes, invoices, signs, and web pages, so the office can produce a new document without guessing.
How the business sounds, in writing and out loud. A short, plain-English guide to the tone used on the phone greeting, in quote cover notes, in review replies, and in social posts, with example phrases to use and phrases to avoid. The goal is a business that sounds like its owner on a good day, whoever is typing.
Every final file, organized by who needs it. One folder for the sign shop and wrap installer, one for the printer, one for the embroiderer, one for the web developer, and one for social media, each in the formats that vendor asks for (vector files for fabrication, transparent web images for screens). A one-page brand sheet sits on top so a new vendor can get it right without a phone call. The contractor never has to send a screenshot of a logo again.
Brand identity is a standalone PM Consulting Inc. service. It is quoted, scheduled, and invoiced on its own. It is not part of any 5-Pillar Program tier, and buying a tier does not include a logo, a colour system, or a brand guide. The lists below draw the line clearly so there are no surprises on the invoice.
The full list of what PM Consulting builds, standalone and inside the program, is on the services hub.
PM Consulting Inc. runs every brand identity project through the same four stages. The number of concept directions, the number of revision rounds, and the list of graphic pieces are written into the quote before the project starts, so both sides know exactly what finished looks like.
Discovery is a working conversation with Paul Meyers about the business: the trades it performs, the towns it serves, the customers it wants more of, the jobs it wants fewer of, and the competitors it gets compared to. Paul also collects every existing brand asset, however rough: the old logo, the truck photos, the business cards, the current website. Discovery decides what the brand has to say before anyone draws anything. A roofer chasing commercial flat-roof contracts needs a different first impression than a roofer chasing residential repairs.
Concepts are separate visual directions for the logo, colour, and type, each one built from what came out of discovery. Every concept is shown where it will actually live: on a truck door, a yard sign, a quote header, and a phone-sized Google profile. A logo that looks sharp on a laptop and turns to mush on a hat gets caught here, not after the uniforms are ordered.
The owner picks one direction and the refinement rounds tighten it: spacing, line weight, colour balance, legibility at small sizes and from across a street. The alternate layouts and one-colour versions are built in this stage, along with the typography rules and the first draft of the brand voice guidelines, written from how the owner actually talks to customers.
Delivery hands over the finished logo system, colour system, typography, brand voice guidelines, and the organized asset kit, plus any graphic pieces named in the quote. Paul walks the owner through where each file goes and who to send it to. From that day, the sign shop, the wrap installer, the printer, and the web developer all work from the same files.
The PM Consulting portfolio lists 22 client websites, almost all of them for trades and home service businesses, including AutoNorth Auto Repair, JD Flooring North Bay, Edwards Landscape & Construction, Robitaille Contracting, and Greenpoint Lawn Care.
The portfolio is website work. It is not a gallery of logos, and PM Consulting Inc. does not claim the logos shown on those sites as its own designs unless a project says so. What the portfolio does show is the design standard a contractor can expect, and how a brand gets carried consistently across a full site: colours, type, photography, and voice on every page.
Client feedback on PM Consulting's work, including design, is published independently at pmconsultingreviews.ca, where PM Consulting Inc. carries 47 verified 5-star Google reviews. More client outcomes are on the results page.
Brand identity for contractors from PM Consulting Inc. is custom quoted per scope. There is no package price on this page, because two contractor brand projects rarely carry the same scope, and a published number that fits neither would be a guess. Paul Meyers scopes the project on a 15-minute fit call and sends a written quote, with every deliverable listed, before any work starts.
A business with no usable logo at all is a different project from one with a mark worth keeping that needs proper files, colours, and rules around it.
How many places the logo has to work: one truck or a fleet, a single trade or several divisions, a hat, a trailer, a jobsite fence banner.
A one-page tone guide for the owner, or a fuller guide with phone scripts and review reply examples for an office team.
Each added layout (truck decals, yard signs, door hangers, business cards, quote and invoice templates) is listed in the quote.
For comparison only: the 5-Pillar Program has published CAD pricing on the pricing page, from $2,997 setup plus $497 per month for Smart Website Starter up to $9,997 setup plus $1,997 per month for Lead Flow Engine. Those prices do not include brand identity. A brand identity quote is separate from, and in addition to, any tier.
Contractors sometimes assume a website package comes with a new logo. At PM Consulting Inc. it does not. The table compares the two offers directly so the difference is on paper before anyone signs anything.
| Question (brand identity vs. 5-Pillar Program) | Brand Identity for Contractors | 5-Pillar Program (any tier) |
|---|---|---|
| What it fixes | How the business looks and sounds on every surface. | Where leads leak: missed calls, slow replies, unrequested reviews, a dormant customer list, a website that does not convert. |
| What you receive | Logo system, colour system, typography, brand voice guidelines, asset kit. | Smart Website, CRM, and the AI pillars included in the chosen tier. |
| How it is priced | Custom quote per scope. | Published CAD tiers on the pricing page. |
| Included in the other? | No. A brand project includes no 5-Pillar tier or pillar. | No. No tier includes a logo, colour system, or brand guide. |
| Can it be bought alone? | Yes. | Yes. |
| Can they be combined? | Yes, as an add-on to any tier, quoted and invoiced separately. | Yes, with brand identity added on top. |
| Best time to buy it | Before a truck wrap, a sign order, or a website build, so everything is produced once from the same files. | Whenever calls, messages, or quotes are slipping through the cracks. |
Which comes first? If the phone is going unanswered and quotes go unreturned, fix the leaks first; a beautiful brand on a business that misses half its calls still loses the job. The contractor marketing plan shows how PM Consulting orders that work. If the lead system is sound and the business simply looks smaller and less professional than it is, brand identity is the right next purchase.
Every answer fully visible. No accordions, no click-to-expand.
Bring a photo of your truck, your current logo file (whatever you have), and a business card. Paul will tell you on a 15-minute Zoom whether your brand needs a rebuild, a cleanup, or nothing at all, and what a written quote would cover. If your bigger problem is missed calls, he will say that too.
